HOUND HAVEN PHILIPPINES: Eat Out To Help Out

HOUND HAVEN PHILIPPINES: Eat Out To Help Out
By: Nickson Garcia

Parents of cute and lovable dogs gathered at Scout Honor UPTown Mall Taguig for a benefit lunch for Hound Haven. It is a non-profit organization advocating the lives of Military Working Dogs (MWDs) and Contract Working Dogs (CWDs) in the Philippines.

An average working dog work for about 8 to 15 years and more than half of their lives are dedicated in service to humans. Currently, there is no standard policy on the retirement of MWD and CWD in the Philippines. Hound Haven is the first and only institutionalised organization that caters to this kind of program and advocacy in the country.
